week 5

v515_4I admit it: I was too caught up in a book to go to the farmers’ market this week. And Saturday lunch at the co-op is becoming a bit of a tradition that I love. Wake early; go to a movie before noon ($5 tickets!); get groceries & sandwiches. It’s happened a few times over the last couple of months, & it’s wonderful.

There was a massive baking/dinner party splurge that happened on Wednesday. I can’t bring myself to put it in the budget. I don’t even want to think about it, but with four–yes, four–dinner/meal engagements this weekend, I have endless baking to do. I’m trying to remember that I bought things on sale; I stocked up; in the long run, it saves because we didn’t eat out for each of these things. Phew. This week & all the obligations have me seriously overwhelmed. I completely lost track of the waste this week, so that’s not featured this week. We’ve gotten so off track, as my energy levels clearly indicate. Next week, we’re both back to work. Things will feel normal. We’ll have far fewer social obligations to catch up on. We’ll get things back on track.
